Delicious Mint re-branding

So, I posted anything on here in quite some time! I have been hard at work — I’m currently a month in to my fourth (and last!) year of my degree which is keeping me busy, as well as working on rebranding Delicious Mint, still working on the branding for the New Zealand Green Building Council, and doing a few pieces of print design work for MTV. At Unitec I’m also involved in the Hothouse project which is really exciting.

Recently I’ve also launched the new online store for james & august — I used osCommerce which was really fun; and have also started a new blog with my friend Melissa from Cherrybomb Comics. It’s all about music and it’s called Slow Songs for Fast Hearts. The design of the site isn’t anywhere near being finished, it’s just a matter of finding some spare time to work on it. Melissa and I are also planning on starting our own radio station. We’re still researching into the equipment we need to buy, figuring out where we will broadcast from etc. but I’m sure that we are actually going to do it!

And speaking of blogs in need of the design being finished, hopefully I will get around to fixing this at some point. I think once we have finalised the Delicious Mint branding, and have made a new website (yes, once again!), I’ll then apply the new branding and web design to this blog. Hopefully.

I have some other ideas that I am currently working on, when things start happening with those no doubt I will post about them on here. But for now they can stay secret!

MDes, big plans

I highly recommend that anyone doing the BDes enrolls in one of Dr Chris De Groots classes. The guy will change your whole perspective about design. Perhaps he is one of my idols. I have been inspired to consider doing the MDes since he is the Programme Director for it and he has just been granted one millon from the government to start a new idea for the MDes. In news today, I am honoured to be attending a pilot workshop for this MDes in November. Hey that’s now. I’m in my pyjamas. So I am lucky enough to get a taster for this programme and more time to spend trying to suck up some of Chris’s brain power.

In conclusion, wana know more? Enrol in a class with the guy.
